Our Story

Ramona's Founding
Jiu-Jitsu & MMA Program

Established in 2010, Ramona MMA Center was the first dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA academy in Ramona. Over the years, it has grown into a long-standing, family-owned martial arts community built around quality instruction, consistency, and long-term development — from beginner students to home-grown black belts.

What martial arts does Ramona MMA Center offer?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), MMA, Wrestling, Boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, and Self-Defense. Specialty programs include kids classes (ages 3.5–12), women's-only Jiu-Jitsu, the 40 & Up Club, homeschool PE, adaptive martial arts, We Defy Foundation, and Adopt a Cop.

Where is Ramona MMA Center located?

2102 Main Street, Suite 2, Ramona, CA 92065. We serve Ramona, Poway, Escondido, and the greater San Diego area.

Do I need experience to start training?

No. Every program is designed for beginners. New students start with a structured curriculum that builds fundamentals step by step. Reserve a private trial to walk through the gym with a coach.

How do I sign up for a free trial class?

Click "Reserve Your Private Trial" and fill out the short form. A coach will respond within one business day to schedule your visit.

What are your hours?

Monday 3:25–8:15 PM · Tuesday 3:45–8:15 PM · Wednesday 3:25–8:15 PM · Thursday 3:45–8:15 PM · Friday 3:45–7:30 PM · Saturday 8:45–11:45 AM. Closed Sunday (open mat by appointment).
